ArtMonth Sydney is on again! If you love contemporary art or want to learn more about the vibrant Sydney art scene choose a few of the many events that are held throughout the month of March. You can join a guided walk through art precincts, such as Paddington, Darlinghurst, and Marrickville, or enjoy a walk through the Botanical Garden. Another option is to hop on a bike and discover the galleries on your own. Curated bus tours to suburban art precincts and the West complement the programme. There are Art at Night events and lots of exhibitions, of course, in various galleries.

One of my favourite exhibitions is The Collectors’ Space which is open in Camperdown from the 3rd to the 20th of March, Thursday to Sunday, 11am to 5pm. This exhibitions showcases a selection of works, some of which have not been seen in public before, from private art collectors. This year’s exhibition space is an unoccupied inner-city house and “provides a commonplace context not normally associated with an public exhibition of contemporary art.”

A series of family-friendly art events aims to encourage families with children to dive into the world of contemporary art.

There is something for everyone, who is interested to connect with artists, curators, and collectors. If you have never visited Art Month take the opportunity this March and try something new. You never know what you will discover!
