This morning I noticed that I posted my last blog two weeks ago. Time flies, especially if you are working on lots of different projects. It’s not that I didn’t write anything; I wrote quite a bit actually. I focussed on a 3000-word essay, which I submitted to The Horne Prize earlier this week. Additionally, I put together my October newsletter, which some of you would have found in their inbox last week. If you are interested in receiving it in the future, please subscribe on my home page. I also started copywriting and freelance blogging for a couple of new clients. And, I am working on a new, exciting book project, which I will tell you more about soon.
Golf Shore Retirement Living Open Day
Furthermore, I have been preparing a presentation on space planning for the Golf Shore Retirement Living Open Day this Friday, the 28th of October, 10 am. If you are interested in visiting a brand new retirement resort in Sydney’s Hills District join the team from Golf Shore Retirement Living and myself for a morning tea, my presentation about how to optimise the space in your apartment and guided tours through the new display units in Kellyville. It's a free event, but please call the resort to let them know that you are coming.
Plus, I have been finalising my presentation and material for my upcoming workshop Downsizing 101 in Manly on Saturday, 29th of October, which is a three-hour interactive learning session including a creative mood board exercise. Participants will learn how to simplify their life through de-cluttering by categories, how to avoid costly mistakes when moving and how to visualise their abstract decorating ideas by using the versatile mood board technique. In addition, there will be plenty of time to discuss individual projects and questions. Finally, we will have lots of fun in a creative environment. For your last chance to book in visit Downsizing 101.
Free Tips & Resources
Don’t despair if you can’t attend any of these events. Here’s how to start living with less stuff compiled into a helpful library of home downsizing and apartment interior design resources. I recently de-cluttered my blog and published a new Tips & Resources page where you will find a selection of home downsizing and apartment interior design blogs and podcasts. I will add more free content over time. To make it easier for you, they are sorted under the following categories:
• Get Started
• Home Organisation, De-cluttering
• Apartment Interior Design
• Interior Design Styles
• Home Decor
• Outdoor Decorating
• Mood Boards and Creativity
• Downsizing Case Studies
I hope you find this library valuable. Please have a browse and let my know your thoughts and feedback. As I believe great value should be shared, feel free to forward this link to your friends.
