What I offer

BOOK AND WRITING COACHING | AUTHOR CONSULTING over 6 months, starting with a 2-hr online book strategy workshop

EDITING (Structural, Copyediting, Proofreading)

Structural Editing

Looks at the structure of your manuscript, the content, the language, style, and presentation. Structural editing can also include rewriting ensuring a consistent tone of voice or clarifying the content for your respective audience.

Copyediting

Looks at accuracy, consistency, and clarity in your manuscript.

Proofreading

The last step in the editing process to make sure the manuscript is ready for publication. We look at the inclusion of all necessary elements for your book, the final structure and that all spelling and punctuation errors have been fixed.

PUBLISHING & PROMOTION (headshots, book website design, publicity)

Getting connected to Bettina is the best thing that could have happened to my writing ambitions. I have been keeping my book idea on the back burner as just that, an idea, for way too long until making a lucky connection and being referred to Bettina by colleagues at the Lean Construction Institute as an author consultant and coach.

Working together in an online Book Strategy Workshop, we were able to map out the entire structure of the book within two hours, and Bettina was also very helpful with writing tips, goal setting and accountability strategies so I can stay on track with weekly writing goals. In addition, she suggested writing exercises and input on my early writing to help me find my voice and writing style, which will be instrumental in on-going self-edits.

I look forward to continuing to work with Bettina as she has a wonderful coaching style and brings a wealth of information to share with budding authors.

I met Bettina through James Pease when she interviewed me as a contributing author for the Lean IPD blog. I enjoyed working with her and recently engaged her for a long-form writing project. Her writing and editing skills help me write effectively while achieving my communication purpose. Her style and approach begin with understanding my goals. With Bettina’s guidance, my writing flows better, and I feel that her help has reignited my passion for written communication and storytelling. I highly recommend Bettina for your next blog, website, or long-form writing project.
