Hello, dear friends and readers!
I am sure you have realised that I have written and talked a lot about writing, mood boards, creativity, and design thinking in the last few weeks.
2015 was an interesting year in many respects. Not only did I turn 50, but I also started writing a memoir and freelancing for design magazines. Over the past few months, I thought a lot about which direction to take with my business. I realised it is the creative work, such as writing for my blog, book, or for third parties, and helping clients gain clarity in a creative process, that I enjoy most. Developing my manuscript to a publishable standard is one of my New Year resolutions. One of my business goals for 2016 is offering in-house mood board workshops for corporate teams. If you want to gain clarity about your private or professional goals, consider my workshop Mood Boarding 101.
Writing will be an important part of my work in the future. Regarding my blog, I have consolidated the overarching categories and will focus on
Living with Less
Here you can read articles about home downsizing and apartment living, de-cluttering, storage optimisation, and solutions for small spaces. New episodes of the Downsize with Style podcast will also appear here.
Home Decorating
This column is all about creating a happy home with heart. You will find posts about house features, colour psychology, decorating styles, and tips how to make your home a unique place to relax and re-energise.
Trends
This is the space for colour and furnishing trend reports and forecasts.
Writing
Last year, I started sharing my memoir writing journey. I will continue to share my experiences, challenges, and, hopefully, successes with you.
Things I Love
Here, I will write about things I came across and loved, which might be of interest to you as well; books, places I visited, online resources, shops to remember.
That's the plan for 2016. At the end of the year, I will review and readjust if necessary. Please let me know if you are interested in any other topics by leaving a comment below. Finally, I would like to thank you for reading my blog and sharing it with your friends and communities.
To a successful 2016!
